Hello my name is
Rebecca Lawrence:
- I am a life time resident of Grand Traverse County.
- I graduated from Traverse City Schools in 1970.
- I was married on Nov. 13, 1970 (this was on a Fri..) to
Thomas Lawrence and have three children, and eight grandchildren.
- I was employed with a successful northern Michigan auction
co. for five years.
- My first years of employment I learned how to pack, set up,
catch bids, run crews, clerk and other aspects of the auction biz.
- With the help from my husband Tom, family and friends
I graduated from the Reppert
School of Auctioneering on May 8th 1999.
- It was a very exciting adventure. I will be glad to
tell you about it sometime.
- I learned a lot at Reppert and I am still learning a lot
each day that I talk with all the fine people that attend, participate,
and employ our services.
- I have joined the
National Auctioneer Association and the Michigan State
Auctioneer Association in the year 2000.
- I have won 6 Excellent in advertising awards from our state
association throughout our past 6 years in the business.
- I have completed (Graduate Personal Property Appraiser)
GPPA 101 January 30,2004 and have won a scholarship to use to go on to
the next chapter in this coarse.
- I am also proud to be a member of the American
Legion Auxiliary. And have served as Vice President in our chapter
for 4 years.
- My goals are to consistently learn more about the auction
business which includes going to as many seminars as time and money
will allow. To attend the Certified Auctioneers Institute and receive a
degree. And to listen to all People that want to give advise on
any subject!
- I love doing benefit auctions and have done several for The
Leelanau School, Women Christen Club and of coarse St. Jude's Hospital
which is always on the list of auctioneers, and most recently the Red
Cross.... Be sure to call me for your Non Profit organization... I will
be glad to help.
- I also want to help others learn more about the art of
auctioneering and have plans to do some speaking on the subject.
I hope that this will allow me to experience some new adventures
in meeting new people, places and organizations.
- To be successful you need to love family, friends, and your
work. I have it all.
